Copper Frog Designs was born in April 2016, a month before this picture was taken.
With an inherited passion for making things and a fascination for how things are made, I trained as an Aerospace Engineer in the mid 1980's.
I spent almost 38 years in Engineering roles across a few different sectors; the lion's share in Aerospace.
From Apprentice to Managing Director I carved out a career which was planned to see me through to retirement..
But the 'side hustle' that really only started as a way to pass time during a spell working away from home, quickly grew and had other ideas.
Originally I was just making gifts for friends and family.
Then, to my complete surprise, I was asked to make similar items for actual, paying customers - a concept that I still find hard to understand today - people want to pay money for something that I've made..
The addition of laser cutting and etching technology has added a new and efficient production method for Copper Frog Designs.
In 2021, this middle aged man, earning a decent, regular salary, in the middle of a global pandemic decided to exchange the rat race and pursue a dream.
I followed my heart and we will see where it takes me.
